Is Magy actually free?

Yes. The Assistant tier runs locally with the MiniMax provider at zero cost — no credit card, no trial expiry. Pro and Studio unlock the full 7-agent team, all LLM providers, and cloud sync.

Do I need a GPU?

No. Magy routes to cloud LLM providers. MiniMax is the default and is free. If you want to run models locally, Ollama is a supported provider.

What happens to my code?

On Assistant tier, everything is local — code never leaves your machine except to reach the LLM provider you configured. Pro and Studio use opt-in cloud sync that you can disable per-workspace.

Can I bring my own API keys?

Yes. Magy ships with seven provider implementations (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, Bedrock, Ollama, Kimi, MiniMax). Drop your keys into ~/.config/magy/secrets.toml and the router picks them up.

Is the Pro tier available now?

Can I self-host Studio?

Yes. Studio is licensed per-seat but you run the backend on your own infrastructure. Contact us and we will set it up with you.
